FEDELCODE Fire Sirens
The first all American classic vertical fire siren designed by the Federal Electric Company in the late 1930's. They were available in high or low tone " Mach " 2, 3, 5 and 7 1/2 horsepower motors. Their distinct design makes them easy to spot as the lower cowl on the outer housing is angled downward more than on later Federal models. They also came with the classic Federal lightning bolt logo plate that said FEDELCODE. Production of the FEDELCODE sirens ended in 1949 when the company changed to Federal Enterprises and slightly altered the design of the # 2, 3, 5 and 7 vertical sirens.
Over recent years, many fire departments made a huge mistake by removing and scrapping Fedelcode sirens under the assumption that they were outdated.....Well these departments screwed up immensely as these sirens are now priceless! The Fedelcode siren is truly the first and foremost all American siren!
